Police say crime spree began with theft of van

The man who robbed a Loras Boulevard convenience store had walked away from a Des Moines drug rehab center

A crime spree involving a stolen church van, a Dubuque armed robbery and drugs began when Justin Swan walked out of a Des Moines drug rehabilitation center Monday, according to court documents filed Thursday.
